Maraziti Falcon’s Alyse Hubbard Appointed to District X Fee Arbitration Committee by the Office of Attorney Ethics of the Supreme Court of New Jersey
Last fall, Maraziti Falcon’s Alyse Hubbard, Esq. was appointed to serve on the District X Fee Arbitration Committee by the Office of Attorney Ethics of the Supreme Court of New Jersey. Her four-year term began in October 2022.
In 1979, the Supreme Court of New Jersey established the fee arbitration process as a low-cost and efficient method to resolve disputes in which litigants may believe their lawyers have charged unreasonable fees and have not been able to resolve the disagreement privately with the attorney. District fee arbitration committees throughout New Jersey are maintained by volunteers, both attorneys and members of the public, who serve on monthly committee panels with the goal of resolving, through binding arbitration, attorney fee disputes. The hearings are confidential and conducted in a private setting.
We are proud to have another member of our firm selected to serve on this prestigious committee, with Joanne Vos’ four-year term recently expiring.
Alyse Hubbard focuses her practice in counseling clients on land use matters, representation of zoning and planning boards and real estate transactions. Ms. Hubbard frequently drafts ordinances and resolutions for municipal councils, planning boards and zoning boards. She offers legal opinions to the board secretary and professionals, provides legal analysis of land use issues, as well as reviews and analyzes municipal ordinances and state statutes. Ms. Hubbard is actively involved in the preparation of land use applications, from the initial concept, coordinating and meeting with applicant and board professionals, through the presentation at public meetings. She has reviewed and negotiated municipal and developer’s agreements. Ms. Hubbard handles all aspects of real estate closings.
