The New Jersey State League of Municipalities just released a free edition of New Jersey Municipalities magazine to serve as a resource for municipalities navigating the upcoming 4th Round of affordable housing obligations, which stems from legislation adopted this past March.

On page 20 of the September 2024 issue, you can find an article co-authored by Maraziti Falcon’s Brad Carney & Diane Alexander and CP Engineers‘ Stanley G. Puszcz & Steven Donati addressing the wastewater infrastructure needs of the 4th Round.

Brad Carney is a partner at the law firm of Maraziti Falcon, LLP, where he advises and represents public sector clients in the areas of qualified opportunity funds, redevelopment, resiliency, municipal and construction law. He represents municipal county utilities authorities and sewerage authorities on issues relating to the public water supply, solid waste flow control, sewerage infrastructure, sewer connection fees, sewer user fees, electric energy procurement, and Green Acres diversion and disposal applications for public works projects.

Diane Alexander has advised public and private sector clients regarding local government, environmental, infrastructure and resiliency-related issues and has successfully litigated matters involving a wide variety of environmental laws and regulations.

Ms. Alexander represents public authorities, municipalities and the private sector concerning water, wastewater, stormwater and air permitting issues, as well as water and wastewater planning, compliance, user fee and connection fee issues.  She participated in the Stakeholders Group convened by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection to revise the NJPDES Regulations, Planning Rules and Surface Water Quality Standards. She participated in the drafting of legislation relevant to connection fees and the creation of stormwater utilities.  Ms. Alexander’s Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating is AV® Preeminent.

Ms. Alexander also served a five year term on the Board of Directors of the Association of Environmental Authorities of New Jersey.
