Kit Falcon, along with John Madden of Maser Consulting, presented a training program to new Planning Board Members at the Hunterdon County Complex in Flemington on March 20, 2010. The training session was sponsored by the New Jersey Planning Officials organization in order for planning board members to satisfy the recent requirement of the Municipal Land Use Law that they attend a course in land use law and procedure in order to be qualified to sit on a Board.

Joseph Maraziti, Jr. will be leading a panel on COAH’s new regulations on January 30, 2009, at the 2009 Redevelopment Institute of New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education at the New Jersey Law Center in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

COAH’s new regulations are of interest to municipalities and redevelopment practioners as well. These regulations provide new bonuses for redevelopment and smart growth projects. They also provide new costs that must be shouldered by projects that are often financially difficult even without the obligation to pay for COAH units or fees for non-residential development.
